The SonTek-RS5 ADCP is packed with advanced features designed for superior water data collection and flexible deployment. Equipped with a vertical acoustic beam, the RS5 offers precise channel definition for discharge applications, directly measuring depth beneath the unit to extend discharge depth in challenging conditions. Its SmartPulse+® algorithm intelligently adapts to environmental conditions using pulse-coherent and broadband profiling, ensuring accurate bottom tracking and velocity profiling in shallower waters, with resolution as fine as 2.5 cm.

Additional features include a 360º compass and two-axis tilt sensor, which correct for vessel heading and motion, providing reliable measurements even in turbulent surface conditions. Optional RTK GPS offers ultra-precise positioning, ideal for moving beds, while the DGNSS option provides an integrated backup for challenging environments, enhancing the RS5’s versatility for complex water monitoring needs.
